Team Finley Racing was hoping to redeem
themselves in ASA Late Model
Series Northern Division competition over the Memorial Day Holiday
Weekend at Grundy County Speedway in Morris, Illinois.
After qualifying so well at O'Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis,
eighth, and running in the Top Five for most of the

Presented by ASI Limited back on April 25, 2008 before cutting a
tire,
Finley and crew were ready for the 10th annual George Appleton
Memorial 125,
the second race of the season in ASALMS North competition.
Hot off his first career Feature Win in Outlaw Bodies Super Late
Models
competition at Spartan Speedway and backing that up with solid Top
Five showings, the crew was ready to get back into ASALMS mode!
Unfortunately, Finley struggled at the 1/3 mile semi-banked paved
oval
and qualified a disappointing 29th and was forced to run the 25-lap
GM
Performance Parts Shootout, which transferred only two (2) cars into
the main feature.
The 16-year-old started sixth and was quickly up to fourth before
contact with another car sent the DeWitt, Michigan teenager to the
rear of
the field. Finley worked his way back up to fifth but ran out of
time
and did not transfer into the 125-lap Feature.
"We're disappointed sure, but it's all part of the growing process
of
this team!" Stated Team Finley Racing Car Owner, Jeff Finley.
"There's
been a bunch of drivers in the past who didn't make shows and then
come
out the next week or two later and won! We'll be fine and Chad will
bounce back from this!"
Finley then added; "We really appreciate Auto Value / Bumper to
Bumper
Certified Service Centers and

for all they have done
for us! We promise we're going to come back with a vengeance this
weekend at Toledo Speedway!"
"I have to give a huge Thanks to all the guys on this team for
working
hard as they do. We'll be ok! Finley ended.
The next race on the 2008 schedule for Chad Finley and the entire
Team
Finley Racing crew is the rescheduled Glass Breaker 125 at Toledo
Speedway in Toledo, Ohio on a special Sunday Afternoon, June 1,
2008.
The 16-year-old was amongst the quickest cars during the Practice
Day
back on April 11, 2008 at the historic ½ mile high-banked paved oval
and
will be one of the top contenders for the win in the Buckeye State.
Thank You.
