News Room:
JULY 2007
Team Finley made the long haul to the I70
speedway and captured there first top ten of the season. With a
Friday practice to get things in order before Saturdays official ASA
north series scheduled event the team was focused to get the car in
good handling condition for 15 year old Chad Finley to tame the high
banks at I70.Team Co-Owner Jeff Finley's comments" Fridays practice
gave us time to get some valuable seat time for Chad. The cars was
good right off the truck. I was impressed how fast he ran the 1st
time out and we made minor adjustments from there. Saturday we had
to loosen it up some and at the end of the practice session we found
are selves 7th out of 38 cars. We where pretty content there so we
made no changes and put stickers on it to qualify. We where very
short on help as are crew chief and are tire guy called the day
before to inform us they could not make it. So we missed our are
tire stagger for qualifying pretty bad and ended up 25th.We all
pulled together and knew we had a good car we just needed to get
back to where we were. Chad started deep in the field and was doing
a great job when we got a flat tire. Then we got another flat later
in that run as well. We lost a lap and got that back as well so we
are very excited to get are 1st top ten and bring it home in one
piece." commented Jeff Finley. Team Finley racing heads to Madison
WI. on July 7th for its next ASA event. They will be at Spartan
Speedway in the outlaw super late model in Mason Mi every Friday
night when it does not conflict with there ASA schedule. Chad has
had some nice showings recently and finds him self 7th in points
there as well as leading rookie of the year honors. Thanks for
checking in and remember to support are marketing partners when ya
