News Room: JULY 2007

Team Finley Racing suffers there first DNF of the season at Madison Speedway with oil pump failure.32 Laps into the race Chad Finley lost oil pressure and was forced to the pits for the rest of the event finishing a disappointing 27th.The race team had him dialed in as they had been fast right off the truck. Chad reflects on the weekend "That was the best car we have had all year. Practice was limited so we only got 28 laps of track time. We made a couple small adjustments and got better and ended up like 15th quick. Got a 20 min break and Chas Howe stopped by and gave us a hand and we made a few more changes and we had us a rocket. I messed up qualifying and tried to hard and we got real loose out of 4 or I think we had a good shot at the pole. I got to race side by side with some of the best and we had allot of fun. This race team will rebound. The guys work way to hard for this to slow us up. We will get back on track at Rockford Speedway". Team Finley will load back up and head to Rockford Speedway in Lovespark IL for the ASA event on July 28th.Team owner Jeff Finley shares his thoughts" That was a great race car we had there for Chad. It was a true disappointment to end are day that early. That's part of racing though. We will take it to heart and learn from it and move on. Chad's progress is further advanced now than any of us thought it would be. So we need to just stay focused and buckle down and good things will come back to us." Chad also runs a outlaw latemodel at Spartan Speedway on Friday nights when in town and has had some great runs with 5 top fives and 8 top tens. Once again thanks for checking in and as always support are marketing partners when ya can.
